West Coast Strings is dedicated to providing chamber music services for public and private events throughout British Columbia. With
our versatile string ensembles including string duo, string trio and string quartet and our extensive repertoire of classical, jazz and popular influences, clients can be assured the perfect ambiance for their event. Our commitment to providing high quality performances is reliant
on us working closely with clients,ensuring that we meet and exceed their expectations.

About

West Coast Strings was established in 2004, by violinist and violist Meghan Verdejo, to meet the growing demand for classical event music throughout British Columbia. West Coast Strings is a musician owned business and has a municipal business license with the City of Vancouver as a mobile service.

Unlike traditional booking agencies, West Coast Strings offers a personalised service from beginning to end. In addition to the administrative duties, Meghan also performs for each event ensuring a high level of professionalism and musicianship amongst the musicians. Her many years of experience in the music industry have allowed her to bring together some of Vancouver's best musicians to make every occasion memorable and stress-free.

Music for Wedding Ceremonies

Meghan has the experience and musical coordination of hundreds of wedding ceremonies ranging from civil and religious services to
multi-cultural and same-sex unions.   For some clients, the music planning process can be overwhelming but as a wedding music consultant and planner, Meghan is there to guide clients through the main musical portions of the wedding ceremony. Her years in the wedding industry
have taught her to be a consummate professional and to expect the unexpected - even for the most organised couples.

Music for Receptions and Corporate Events

West Coast Strings offers professional chamber music services of the highest quality for award ceremonies, business conferences and conventions as well as office parties and receptions.   With our extensive repertoire lists, clients can be assured of an exciting and engaging tone that appeals to a diverse audience.

Music Therapy Concerts

Meghan and her brother, Adrian Verdejo, began performing in assisted living communities and senior centers at a very young age. Recently they have combined their musical talents for the violin and guitar and have once again started providing full musical programs to
hospitals, senior community living centers and assisted living facilities in the Vancouver Lower Mainland.

To watch an individual with special needs or physical limitations, suddenly rise to their feet, sing, clap and dance to the music, is an enriching experience for everyone. Music provides a vital link to memorable moments in an individual's life, which is why West Coast Strings provides various programs to choose from. All programs offer brief discussions of the repertoire, with the ultimate emphasis being on the performance. Meghan and Adrian are accustomed to performing for large groups of people and fully encourage singing, clapping, discussions on
past memories, conversations and questions. We are also very open to suggestions or requests at no extra cost.
